Christian brings a bit of Switzerland to the sunshine coast with his take on the Swiss classic. Made with local milk this Tilsit is sweet and nutty with hints of creamy buttermilk balanced with salt. As it matures the flavour becomes more intense with a hint of caramel.

 

Made to be a table cheese it also melts beautifully.

 

Good with a crisp dry and slightly aromatic whites such as chardonnay, viognier or fiano. It also pairs with a dessert wine. Dark beers bring out Tilsit’s nutty caramel flavours
